Mind Mapping Activity

Mind Mapping Activity

A unique twist on a mind mapping activity. Participants spend time color-coding the mind map according to categories after completing it. The color categories are then used as topics for group discussion questions.

This mind map was about the broad topic of “Training” and broken down into the following categories:

  • Blue – Who, What, Where, When, How
  • Green – Show Me the Money – Benefits of training
  • Yellow – Warning Signs – Barriers to training
  • Pink – Made Us Think – Topics that were interesting or that didn’t fit in another category

Discussion Questions:

  • Blue – Who, What, Where, When, How
    • Who can we train?
    • What can we train them on?
    • Where can training take place?
    • When can training take place?
    • How do we train effectively? (What methods do we use?)
  • Green – Show Me the Money – Benefits of training
    • What are the benefits of training to our team members?
    • What are the benefits of training to us as managers?
    • What about to the company and our customers?
  • Yellow – Warning Signs – Barriers to training
    • What barriers exist to training?
    • How do we overcome these barriers/reasons?
  • Pink – Made Us Think – Topics that were interesting or that didn’t fit in another category
